About Us

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers Phillip Island and Koo Wee Rup to the west, Swifts Creek and Mt Hotham in the high country, Wilson’s Promontory, and the beaches beyond Lakes Entrance through to Mallacoota. It holds the major towns of Warragul, Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale, the Latrobe Valley and many towns and villages between.

We acknowledge the Bunurong, Boon Wurrung and Gunai Kurnai peoples and commit ourselves to truth-telling, reconciliation, justice and peace for all people.

In a country
where religious festivals
are increasingly for the few who are
already members, it makes
sense to utilise a
final gasp of
summer…

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday

I pray that
you are privileged to know
that love, that forgiveness, that hope,
and that transformation this Easter day;
and that you are able to rejoice
in the good news of Easter
and cry with joy,
“Christ is risen!”

Society’s losers,
fakers, and troublemakers.
The riff-raff and the toxic, the kids,
the dependent, the isolated, the lonely.

He was the King of the ones nobody wanted,
and they loved him.
