20th March 2022 – HymnFest Traralgon
from Ian Conabere (photos Peter Batten) Thank you to those of you who attended, sang &/or played at HymnFest last Sunday afternoon. We learnt the songs (Songs of Grace 822) When our song says peace and Allan Hoare’s There is grace. Allan, Janet & Simon Hoare travelled from Port Melbourne UCA. Simon and Allan’s guitar and vocal work provided a pleasant, easy-listening experience. People came from Neerim South, Bunyip, Bairnsdale, Mirboo North, Morwell, Sale and Traralgon to participate. HymnFest was designed as a meeting point for singers and musicians of all abilities. Please consider how you can help us at the next HymnFest in Bairnsdale on May 29 2022 and grow the joy of worshipping through music.
20th March 2022 – Fig Tree Project 3rd Anniversary
Peter Morris says – At Traralgon, Glengarry and Rosedale We were using different readings to fit our Lenten studies, although we did talk about the Fig Tree Anniversary as we spoke of the symbols in the church…Despite good intentions, I forgot to take photos in Traralgon, although I took some in small services at Glengarry and Rosedale. I’m afraid that by 4:00pm at Rosedale, the fig leaf was noticeably withered and we reflected on how our symbols don’t always work out as intended.

20th March 2022 – special prayers from Mirboo Nth this morning
An opportunity to reflect and pray for the situation in Ukraine will be offered in the Shire Hall Foyer next Thursday 31st March. Anyone can drop in for as long or short a time as they wish between 7.30 pm and 9.00pm.
This is an opportunity for everyone in our community to express concern. It is an event open to everyone. Ecumenical, multi faith and for people of no faith. There will be an opportunity to light a taper candle, hear some uplifting Ukrainian Orthodox sacred music and donate to the Act for Peace Ukrainian Appeal (if you wish).
Please consider coming along if only for a few minutes to show your concern for and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
