About Us

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers Phillip Island and Koo Wee Rup to the west, Swifts Creek and Mt Hotham in the high country, Wilson’s Promontory, and the beaches beyond Lakes Entrance through to Mallacoota. It holds the major towns of Warragul, Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale, the Latrobe Valley and many towns and villages between.

We acknowledge the Bunurong, Boon Wurrung and Gunai Kurnai peoples and commit ourselves to truth-telling, reconciliation, justice and peace for all people.

very religious.

The setting
was early morning,
a fog sitting below the gathered crowd,
above the hills with the sun
creeping through and
over the fog.

I especially remember
one of the times when there
was a solid covering of snow, and
the kids came from everywhere to play in it.

One
step at a time,
one foot after the other;
that’s all we can manage sometimes
in the thick fog
of grief.
