About Us

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers Phillip Island and Koo Wee Rup to the west, Swifts Creek and Mt Hotham in the high country, Wilson’s Promontory, and the beaches beyond Lakes Entrance through to Mallacoota. It holds the major towns of Warragul, Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale, the Latrobe Valley and many towns and villages between.

We acknowledge the Bunurong, Boon Wurrung and Gunai Kurnai peoples and commit ourselves to truth-telling, reconciliation, justice and peace for all people.

Jesus shows us
that we are not abandoned and judged for our frailty,
but forgiven, restored and
enabled to stand up
and go on.

The picture was often blurry,
but we held our collective breath when things
could have gone very wrong, and cheered when the astronauts began to bounce across the
surface of the moon

Good Friday – Apr 15

The cross reminds us that
Jesus defeated death by entering into it.
Jesus subverts brutal worldly power
by submitting to it.
