About Us

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers Phillip Island and Koo Wee Rup to the west, Swifts Creek and Mt Hotham in the high country, Wilson’s Promontory, and the beaches beyond Lakes Entrance through to Mallacoota. It holds the major towns of Warragul, Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale, the Latrobe Valley and many towns and villages between.

We acknowledge the Bunurong, Boon Wurrung and Gunai Kurnai peoples and commit ourselves to truth-telling, reconciliation, justice and peace for all people.

Something has
blown their minds
– something so amazing
that short circuits their thinking,
they can’t take it in!

Good Friday – April 2

including the Romans who did the deed,
would ever have agreed to call it
“Good Friday.”

Maundy Thursday – April 1

Maundy Thursday – April 1

This is a very ancient service,
sometimes called the service of shadows.
It takes us through the night,
with all its horror and cost.
With the betrayal of Jesus by one disciple,
and desertion by the rest…

Sunday March 28

Sunday March 28

People come
out to the roadside and wave
and we toot the horn. It really is great fun.
If you like the sound of
revving motorcycles
and the smell of fuel,
of course.
