About Us

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers Phillip Island and Koo Wee Rup to the west, Swifts Creek and Mt Hotham in the high country, Wilson’s Promontory, and the beaches beyond Lakes Entrance through to Mallacoota. It holds the major towns of Warragul, Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale, the Latrobe Valley and many towns and villages between.

We acknowledge the Bunurong, Boon Wurrung and Gunai Kurnai peoples and commit ourselves to truth-telling, reconciliation, justice and peace for all people.

Paul isn’t above also using a carrot and
a stick to help them see that they should give
generously.

From the front windows I can see wild,
rolling waves churning menacingly
towards the beach. Along the
foreshore, trees are bending,
tops swirling, waving
surrender in the
force of the
wind.

I had related this question
to my Sudanese cultural background,
where the Sudanese men do not cook because they are men!
But we let go of that shame here in Australia
and learnt to cook in order to
support our wives.

Is this a
wake-up call,
not to take the easy road that pleases others,
but to take our measure or guide
from a greater
source?
