About Us

The Presbytery of Gippsland covers Phillip Island and Koo Wee Rup to the west, Swifts Creek and Mt Hotham in the high country, Wilson’s Promontory, and the beaches beyond Lakes Entrance through to Mallacoota. It holds the major towns of Warragul, Traralgon, Sale and Bairnsdale, the Latrobe Valley and many towns and villages between.

We acknowledge the Bunurong, Boon Wurrung and Gunai Kurnai peoples and commit ourselves to truth-telling, reconciliation, justice and peace for all people.

Christmas Day – Dec 25

Reverend Richard Johnson
tried his best to bring Christ to the colonisers,
but in a land where rum was the standard currency
he was up against those who only wanted to
indulge as much as possible
